Clinique + Jonathan Adler

Clinique’s first collaboration, a limited-edition collection of makeup inspired by the work of Jonathan Adler. The potter, interior decorator, and designer is known for using bright colors, modern prints and bold graphics.

The set included custom lipsticks inspired by his Globo sculptures, custom-pressed eyeshadows and blushes, a brush set featuring a Globo zipper pull, an eye palette, and a sonic brush featuring his patterns.

His art was also applied to the season’s promotional items, including cushion compacts, eye quads, lipsticks, and gift with purchase bags.

A majority of my responsibility as the designer was the application of patterns - scaling and editing to execute seamlessly - throughout the program, as well as recoloring his work to fit within the chosen palette.
